“Based on H.G. Bissinger’s book, which profiled the economically depressed town of Odessa, Texas and their heroic high school football team, The Permian High Panthers.” This is solid. I’ve heard it called one of the greatest football movies ever, and it doesn’t full get there for me. Great cast, awesome soundtrack, but something about the quick cutting style just annoys me for stuff like this. Wanted to love it, but I just liked it. On Peacock.
