“Post war Japan is at its lowest point when a new crisis emerges in the form of a giant monster, baptized in the horrific power of the atomic bomb.” I definitely haven’t seen all ‘em, but this is the best Godzilla I’ve seen. Great effects and it actually makes you care about the human characters which all the American movies have failed to do. There is a specific sequence of events that is way cheesier than it should be, but that’s my only real complaint. Completely on board for sequels.
