“A chronicle of country music legend Johnny Cash’s life, from his early days on an Arkansas cotton farm to his rise to fame with Sun Records in Memphis, where he recorded alongside Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins.” One that’s been on my list for a while and it lived up to the hype. This is a superb musical biopic. While there might be movies of theirs that I like more, these are the best performances that Reese Witherspoon and Joaquin Phoenix have ever given. Just fantastic and they actually do their own singing. Watched on Hulu.
