Today, Cleveland lost a true icon. Jim Donovan, the long-time voice of the Cleveland Browns, passed away today at the age of 68 after a long and courageous battle with chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Donovan's presence was a staple in Cleveland sports, serving as the Browns' radio play-by-play announcer since the team’s return to the NFL in 1999. His tenure spanned 25 years, where his voice served as the soundtrack to our Sundays, capturing the heartache and triumphs of our beloved Browns. His deep knowledge of the game, passionate calls and warm voice will forever be tied to this city that he loved. Rest in peace, Jim. You will be missed, but never forgotten.
